Van Jefferson Chooses Georgia Over Buckeyes And Vols

Van Jefferson made his decision today on where he will take his Wide Receiver talent next year. It will not please the Tennessee Vol faithful.

Jefferson decided to move further south to the University of Georgia. Jefferson who is a Senior at Brentwood, Tennessee’s Ravenwood High School, mentioned at his announcement that he had developed a very good relationship with Mark Richt.

He also mentioned Aaron Murray’s career as well at Georgia. I hope he realizes Murray is now gone. Most recruiting services had it a dead heat between Georgia and Tennessee. It is the first miss of this scale for Butch Jones. However, if there is one position on the football field that Tennessee could afford to have bad news it would be in the Receiving Corp.

Jefferson is the son of Tennessee Titans Receiving Coach Shawn Jefferson.
