Marcus Mariota Needs To Keep The Mustache
By Zach Ragan
I’m just going to go ahead and get it out there — mustaches are cool. Especially the one shown off by Marcus Mariota.
The ironic mustache, the well groomed mustache, the state trooper mustache, the unkempt mustache. I’m a fan of them all, including that of Marcus Mariota. The man has mustache game!
I’ll admit, however, that I’m probably such a big fan because the mustache will never ever work for me. My face just isn’t made for it. When I sport a mustache I look like I should be arrested on spot.
Oh well. I’ll live (in a mustache-less purgatory).
But back to Marcus Mariota.
The Titans signal caller was just named AFC offensive player of the week while sporting a work of art on his upper lip.
Just look at it.
It really suits Mariota perfectly.
But Unfortunately, he plans to shave at the end of November (or Movember).
If Mariota continues to play well with the mustache, I don’t think there’s any way the team can let him shave.
I get that football isn’t as superstitious as baseball. But come on, when you have a good thing going you have to ride the wave as long as it will last.
Everyone knows that Mariota is playing well right now because of the added confidence from the stache.
It’s kind of like when you break out that new outfit on the first day of school. You stand a little taller. Maybe you even strut like Marc Gasol (or maybe not).
You get the point. When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you play good.
Hopefully Marcus Mariota reads this and reconsiders his decision to rid himself of facial hair at the end of November.

After all, the Titans’ season might be riding on Mariota’s facial hair instead of his arm.
