Tennessee Vols running back Alvin Kamara has made a decision on the 2017 NFL Draft.

It looks like John Kelly will be the Vols’ top running back next season, as redshirt junior running back Alvin Kamara has declared for the NFL Draft, according to 247Sports.

This is not a surprise at all. Most media members and fans expected Kamara to leave Tennessee after this season.

Kamara, who totaled over 2,000 yards during his two seasons on Rocky Top, will probably be a second-fourth round draft pick.

The Georgia native is prototypical NFL running back. He has ideal size (5’10″/215 lbs) and speed.

Perhaps more impressive than Kamara’s next level speed is his incredible field vision. He has great patience and sees the field incredibly well.

A lot of folks outside of Tennessee aren’t very familiar with Kamara. I have a feeling, however, that he’ll be well known once he makes it to the NFL.

I could definitely see Kamara having an Arian Foster type impact once he’s drafted.

It’ll be a shame not to see Kamara spend one more year in Orange and White, but you can hardly blame him for making the jump.

Alvin Kamara will represent Tennessee well at the next level.
