Tennessee Vols head coach Butch Jones is on the hot seat as we head into the 2017 season.

Let’s go ahead and get one thing out of the way — if you’re a Vols fan you should be rooting for Butch Jones.

Tennessee’s had enough coaching search over the last decade. They don’t need to add another one to the list.

Expectations are huge on Rocky Top. Butch Jones is finding that out the hard way. He’s coming off back to back nine win seasons, yet half of the fans want him fired.

You can’t deny that Jones has turned the program around. It’s still nowhere near where it needs to be, but it’s better off than when Derek Dooley was fired four years ago.

2017 might be the year it all comes together for Jones.

But if it doesn’t come together in 2017, then it might be game over for Jones in Knoxville.

And if that ends up being the case, fans need to know who could potentially be the Volunteers’ head coach.
