The Tennessee Vols will hope for some breakout performances from expected key players in 2017.

Butch Jones and the Tennessee Vols will have to replace a plethora of talent in 2017.

Having six potential NFL draft picks is a blessing and a curse. Players advancing to the NFL only helps improve the perception of the football program, which in turn helps recruiting.

The flip side of that, however, is that departed talent has to be replaced.

Tennessee will have a lot of question marks surrounding several positions in 2017.

Quarterback, wide receiver, running back and defensive line are all positions where the Vols lost elite talent. UT has the talent to replace the losses at those positions, but that talent, in most cases, has yet to prove itself.

But fret not, Vol fans, because we think there are numerous players on the Vols’ roster that are capable of breaking out in a big way in 2017.

We detailed one player at each position that we think is primed for a breakout year for Tennessee next season.
