The Tennessee Titans are no strangers to making a deal in the draft.

With the 2017 NFL Draft only a few days away, the possibility the Tennessee Titans will make a draft related trade seems to be a more popular topic.

It’s well known the Cleveland Browns want to draft a quarterback, but there isn’t a quarterback that most consider worthy of being selected with the first overall pick.

The Browns also have the 12th pick in the draft, so they have some options. They could wait it out and see if their quarterback falls to them (likely North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky), or they can be proactive and trade up.

Tennessee makes sense as trade partner. The Titans, who also have two first round draft picks, could trade down from the fifth overall selection and net an extra draft pick or two.

The Titans will still get a quality player with the 12th pick, and they would also be able to add more quality players with the extra pick(s) they get from the Browns.

Cleveland badly needs a quarterback, so I think they’ll be willing to offer a fairly attractive deal (they also have two second round picks).

Here’s the deal I think could happen between the Titans and the Browns.

Cleveland receives:

  • Tennessee’s first round pick (5th overall)
  • Tennessee’s fifth round pick (164th overall)

Tennessee receives:

  • Cleveland’s first round pick (12th overall)
  • Cleveland’s second round pick (52nd overall)
  • Cleveland’s 2018 fifth round pick

With those picks in mind, here’s how I think the first three rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft will play out for the Titans.
