The Tennessee Vols have a lot of lost production to replace from the 2016 season.

Butch Jones and the Tennessee Vols lost a lot of great talent this off season to the NFL draft.

Fortunately, however, the Volunteers have plenty of young talent on the roster ready to contribute on Saturdays.

Don’t get me wrong, replacing players like Josh Dobbs, Josh Malone, and Alvin Kamara won’t be easy. There are definitely going to be some growing pains anytime you have to replace your starting quarterback, along with your best running back and best wide receiver.

But Jones has done a great job on the recruiting trail since he arrived in Knoxville in late 2012.

Tennessee, thanks to that great recruiting, has two capable quarterbacks competing to replace Dobbs. Both Quinten Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano are worthy of starting in the SEC. It’s going to be a tough decision choosing between the two, which means it’s very likely that both of them see plenty of action in 2017.

The Vols are also fortunate to have quarterback-turned-receiver Jauan Jennings on the roster. Jennings proved to be invaluable last season and should be able to handle being the Vols’ top option in the passing game.

Another player that Tennessee should feel lucky to have on the roster is running back John Kelly.

The Vols will rely on Kelly to replace Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurd. Those two players were very productive at Tennessee, but Kelly has the ability to be a star in his own right.

Tennessee has plenty of offensive weapons to lean on in 2017, in what should be a make or break year for Butch Jones.

With that in mind, here’s what we think you should expect from some of the Vols’ top offensive options this upcoming season.
