There have been a lot of ups and downs for the Tennessee Vols since the 2000 season.

Compiling this list of the biggest wins of each season for the Tennessee Vols since 2000 was a fun trip down memory lane.

But it also gave me an odd look at the peak of Tennessee football in the new millennium, and the lowest point just nine years later. It’s painful to look at, but there’s also some hope to be found.

Regardless of what you think about Butch Jones and the job he did in 2016, it’s clear that Tennessee football is trending back up, and certainly not to where it was in 2012.

But back to this list. There were years where it was tough to pick one win because there were so many great wins, other years it was tough because, well there weren’t any great wins (hello 2011).

Let’s get started with 2000.
