Tennessee Titans fans may take offense to a recent study.

Fans of the Tennessee Titans, according to a recent study from Emory University, have some of the worst fans in the NFL.

Emory University’s study states the Dallas Cowboys have the best fans in football, while the Kansas City Chiefs have the worst.

The Titans come in at 30th on the study, just ahead of the Los Angeles Rams and Chiefs.

Here’s the full list:

1. Cowboys
2. Patriots
3. Eagles
4. Giants
5. Steelers
6. Saints
7. Bears
8. Broncos
9. Packers
10. 49ers
11. Colts
12. Ravens
13. Jets
14. Dolphins
15. Redskins
16. Bills
17. Panthers
18. Seahawks
19. Falcons
20. Raiders
21. Lions
22. Texans
23. Vikings
24. Chargers
25. Buccaneers
26. Browns
27. Cardinals
28. Bengals
29. Jaguars
30. Titans
31. Rams
32. Chiefs

Here’s how the list was compiled, according to professor Michael Lewis:

"My approach to evaluating fan bases is to use data to develop statistical models of fan interest (more details here).  The key is that these models are used to determine which city’s fans are more willing to spend or follow their teams after controlling for factors like market size and short-term changes in winning and losing. In past years, two measures of engagement have been featured: Fan Equity and Social Media Equity.  Fan Equity focuses on home box office revenues (support via opening the wallet) and Social Media Equity focuses on fan willingness to engage as part of a team’s community (support exhibited by joining social media communities).  This year I am adding a third measure Road Equity.  Road Equity focuses on how teams draw on the road after adjusting for team performance.   These metrics provide a balance – a measure of willingness to spend, a measure unconstrained by stadium size and a measure of national appeal."

As you can see, it’s quite scientific.

And it would be hard to argue with the teams at the top of the list. The Cowboys, Patriots, Eagles, Giants and Steelers, teams in the top five, are undoubtedly some of the most popular teams across the country.

But that doesn’t mean the list is perfect.

Anyone that’s been to a Chiefs game will tell you it’s one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL. The fans are incredibly passionate.

As far as the Titans go, it’s hard to argue their placement near the bottom of the list, even though the mass hysteria around the Nashville Predators during their recent playoff run shows us that fans in Nashville are capable of being amazing.

Of course a big factor in lack of enthusiasm for the Titans is a recent lack of results. That could obviously change in 2017 with the Titans predicted by many analysts to win the AFC South.

The biggest problem I have with the Titans’ place on this list is the fact they’re below the Jaguars. I don’t see how that’s possible.

Rarely in my life, and I’m from the southeast, have I encountered a Jaguars fan. Even when I’ve bene to Florida, I still don’t come across many Jaguars fans.

There’s just no way the Jags have better fans than the Titans.
