The Tennessee Vols will go into the 2017 season counting on several key players.

Football is the ultimate team sport, but that doesn’t mean that irreplaceable players don’t exist.

The Tennessee Vols enter the 2017 season with significantly lower expectations than what they faced a year ago.

But even though there are lower expectations in 2017, this is still a “prove it” year for the Volunteers.

Tennessee has an experienced offensive line returning, as well as a revamped coaching staff that is among the best in the SEC. Basically, there a lot of reasons to be optimistic about UT this season — and beyond.

If the Vols are going to get back to being a fixture in the top ten, they’re going to have run like a well oiled machine this season.

That means there are several players they will count on in a big way.

The following five players are guys that Tennessee absolutely can’t afford to lose, for any reason, in 2017.
