Who will be the next head coach of the Tennessee Vols?
After another humiliating loss for the Tennessee Vols, there’s no doubt that Butch Jones is a dead man walking.
Which means we can pretty much fully focus on who the next coach of the Vols will be.
There are a lot of great options for Tennessee if they want to spend the right kind of money.
The general consensus seems to be that Tennessee is ready to spend some cash this time around — they really don’t have any other choice.
There are several coaches that I think can bring instant success to Tennessee.
Two of those coaches you won’t find on this list — Jon Gruden and Chip Kelly. Those two guys are so notoriously private, that no one has any idea what they’ll do. If the Vols can land either of them, then that’s great. I think they’d both do a marvelous job at Tennessee. But for now, we can’t assume either of them are interested enough to actually take the job.
These following five coaches are guys that have found success at other places, and could all be open to leaving their current situation. I think Vol fans would be thrilled to land any of these coaches.
