Darren Rovell did a Twitter poll ranking the most annoying college football fanbases, and the Vols cracked the top four.

What’s better than polling college football fans on their favorite football teams? Polling college football fans on their least favorite fanbases.

Darren Rovell went to work on Twitter to complete this poll by allowing fans to vote on who they think is the most annoying fanbase. The way this broke down was through a series of head to head matchups, and the final four were all in one poll.

Tennessee made the top four after beating out Georgia. The final four fanbases were Tennessee, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Ohio State. Buckeye fans were victorious in this poll which isn’t necessarily a good thing.

I would have liked to see Tennessee win this poll just to see how VolTwitter would have reacted but if I had to guess I’d say they would embrace it and become more annoying.

I personally love VolTwitter and all of its characters. It makes for an entertaining gameday and makes the workday a little more fun too.

I’m not surprised many think they are one of the most annoying fanbases though. VolTwitter will go after just about anyone, and they don’t hold anything back.

If you’re one of the good ones the rest of VolTwitter would like to thank you for showing the good side of Vol fans but a mixture of gameday VolTwitter and fans in the stadium for a big SEC game isn’t always very good.

A lot of fans of other SEC football fans claim to have “horror stories” from visiting Neyland Stadium. Maybe they shouldn’t sit in the south endzone. 🙂

The fans are what keep bringing me back to Neyland and Thompson Bowling Arena. The environment is amazing, and there are always thousands of die-hard Tennessee fans ready to lose their voice to help lead the Vols to victory.

Now after finishing fourth, it’s time to go to work and get that top spot next year. I didn’t know we could get much worse, but apparently, we weren’t mean enough during the coaching search.

Next. Niehaus loss doesn’t hurt the Vols. dark

Who would have guessed they would be annoying? I love VolTwitter, and I’m glad we made this list. Now hopefully the football team can back up all the trash we’ve been talking.
