If you thought A.J. Brown had a good first season with the Tennessee Titans, then you might have just seen the beginning of a great career.

AJ Brown had one of the best rookie seasons as a receiver I have seen, and the Tennessee Titans could have found a gem in last year’s draft.

After Brown caught 52 passes for 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns in his rookie season, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones sees great potential in Brown.

"“I think we are looking at probably one of the next best great receivers in our National Football League,” he said in a report."

People around the league have given high praise to Brown, including many in his own locker room. A great rookie season wasn’t good enough for AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year, but the Titans weren’t noticed as a good team all the way up to the AFC Championship, so I’m not surprised.

"“When I watch A.J. Brown, what I get from it is, no matter where the football is, it’s his ball,” he continued. “If you don’t wrap him up, you aren’t going to tackle him – his yards after catch are special.”"

We saw that all year long with Brown. He is light on his feet, and you never know when he’s going to take a 10-yard catch the distance.

"“But the most impressive thing about it all is – inside, outside, in the backfield – he went to work. And for you to be that big of a body and to be able to move around like that as a rookie, and be able to make all the plays that he made, that is special.”“And when I watch him as a rookie, knowing that he still has a lot to learn, knowing that when he comes in in year two the game is going to slow down for him that much more and they can move him around and use him in so many different ways, that is scary, man.”"

Brown seemed to be a fan-favorite in last year’s draft. I know he was for me. He had a pretty successful career at Ole Miss, and he carried that over into his first season in the NFL.

If Brown can have 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie season, who knows what he will do not only in his second or third season but throughout the rest of his career.

Next. Tennessee football may have found the next Bo Jackson. dark

I think Brown has a bright future ahead of him. Hopefully, the Titans won’t mess that up. If  Jones is right, the Titans might have found the next great receiver in Brown.
