After three straight wins, the Nashville Predators’ win streak was broken thanks to the Carolina Hurricanes beating the Preds 4-1 in Nashville.

Over the past month, Juuse Saros has dominated and led the Nashville Predators to a 5-1 record when he was the goaltender. Unfortunately, the Carolina Hurricanes were too much for Saros as they put up four goals against the Preds’ hot goalie.

It didn’t take Jordan Staal and the Hurricanes three and a half minutes before they got on the board and took a 1-0 very early in the game in front of the sold-out crowd in Bridgestone Arena.

The shots on goal were similar in this game with the Hurricanes shooting just one more shot than the Predators, but the fast start set the Predators back.

It took the Preds until the second period to respond, but Ryan Johansen was able to tie the game at one, but after that, it was pretty much all Hurricanes as they scored three straight goals to end the Preds three-game win streak.

This matchup was very different than the two team’s first matchup. On November 29th, the Preds easily took care of the Hurricanes 3-0, but as you may know, this is a much different Predators team.

It looks like interim Predators head coach John Hynes is starting to figure things out, though, as the Preds are starting to get back on track.

Next. The Tennessee Titans’ 2020 success isn’t just a fantasy. dark

Now the Predators are 29-23-7 and a total of 65 points. Although the Preds lost this one, if they can bounce back against the Blackhawks and continue to win, then they can find a spot in the Wild Card and maybe a secure spot in the playoffs.
