Preston Williams

Preston Williams is a huge “get” for Butch Jones and the Tennessee Vols. He is the second five star receiver in a row to sign with the Vols. Williams lit up the high school camps last season, and in most cases was found to be the best receiver on the field.

However Preston suffered a knee injury during the season. The Vols did not back off though. Williams has been very vocal on how much he wants to be at Tennessee and will be a great addition to this team. He has been compared to “Megatron”, or Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions. That is good company.

He will be faced with rehab on the knee and with the same issues that Josh Malone had to overcome. It will be interesting to see if Tennessee can get him in the mix, or if he will agree to a redshirt.
