Vols Fans Must Be Loud And Stay Loud No Matter What

This may sound kind of silly, but I really think the crowd can work for or against Tennessee tomorrow. If the Vols fans can stay up all day, I truly believe they can affect the outcome of this game.

If the Vol fans allow frustration or even quit when times get tough. it will play into the hands of the great SEC hater Stoops and his team. Psychologically, it will effect the Vols as well if the crowd gets down.

Tennessee needs everything to go their way in this game. That is not going to happen on all occasions. Oklahoma is going to make plays in this game. It is going to happen. Fans will need to keep the young Vols pumped at all times. Not just when things are going well.

The Vol fans can pressure Stoops and his offense by making communication as difficult as possible. Of course they have practiced with loud music this week. Of course they have practiced with hand signals for communication purposes.

But they can not simulate what that pressure is like when you have to convert a third and three, or a fourth and one. The crowd will have to “make a play” for the team in this game. By that I mean force a timeout, or make an offensive lineman jump early.

Vol fans deserve a win here. But they will have to remember to stay up when things get tough. Stay to the end no matter what for this Team and for Coach Butch Jones. Be loud, but not obnoxious. Be kind to an Oklahoma Fan. They are going to need it for a long wagon train back to Sooner land tomorrow.
