The first year of the Kirby Smart era in Athens hasn’t went exactly as Georgia fans would’ve hoped.

One can’t help but wonder what the Bulldogs’ record would be if Mark Richt was still on the sidelines.

But that’s not reality and at the end the day it doesn’t really matter.

Hopefully for Smart, Georgia’s administration will be patient and realize he’s a first time head coach. He’s not going to have it all together in his first season.

The good news for Smart is that he should be able to push Georgia’s win streak to three, against an overmatched UL-Lafayette squad.

Prediction: Georgia 45 UL-Lafayette 6
