Vols Decide On Uniforms For Bowl Game Against Nebraska
By Zach Ragan
The Tennessee Vols will honor the victims of the East Tennessee Wildfires with their uniform choice in the Music City Bowl.
Tennessee will keep it classy on December 30 in the Music City Bowl against Nebraska, as the Vols have decided to wear their smokey grey uniforms for the matchup.
The helmets that go with the smokey grey uniforms feature the Great Smoky Mountains.

This is definitely not a surprise. Tennessee is embraces their state roots as much as any school in the nation.
The Vols are 2-0 in the Nike smokey grey uniforms. But one Volunteer fan pointed out that those wins didn’t exactly come easy.
I’d recommend to Butch Jones to maybe not go with that strategy against Nebraska.
Sure, a win is a win, regardless of how you get there.
But given the tumultuous past month that Jones has had, jumping out to a three touchdown lead, instead of a deficit, might be a better idea as far as garnering fan support goes.
Either way, this bowl game is a must win for the Vols.
Jones’ job isn’t on the line against Nebraska. But if Tennessee finishes the season with less wins than last season, well it’s going to be a nightmare of an off-season for Jones.
It’s going to be a tough off-season either way. Jones is facing a lot of pushback from a large sector of fans. That list of fans will just continue to grow if he can’t get the job done against the Cornhuskers.
