Vols Sell Out Music City Bowl Ticket Allotment
By Zach Ragan
The Tennessee Vols are staying in state for their bowl game, making it easier for local fans to travel to the game.
There aren’t many fans that travel better than Vols fans.
Which makes a bowl game in Nashville almost unfair for the opposition. Nebraska in this case.
Tennessee announced on Friday that fans have already bought UT’s entire allotment of 8,000 tickets.
Honestly, that’s not even that impressive considering we’re talking about Tennessee fans.
I mean these are the folks that show up 102,455 strong on Saturdays in the fall in Knoxville.
The Music City Bowl will basically be Neyland West on December 30 when the Cornhuskers come to town.
The Nebraska fans that show up might as well get used to hearing Rocky Top, because they’ll be hearing it in their sleep.

Tennessee is currently a three point favorite over Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers are averaging 26.7 points per game this season, while giving up only 22.7 per game.
Nebraska finished 9-3, but they could be better than their record indicates. You can hardly fault them for losing to Wisconsin and Ohio State. Their other loss was to Iowa.
The Vols might be favored in this game, but this came is a complete toss up. Home field advantage will certainly help the Volunteers, which is an advantage that could be the difference in what should be a close game.
