The Vols lost a member of their 2017 recruiting class on Monday afternoon.

Tennessee received a commitment from a three-star defensive end on Monday morning, but lost the commitment of a three-star linebacker shortly after.

Mo Burnam, an inside linebacker from Conyers, GA (Salem), decommitted from the Vols on Monday.

Burnam, 6’2″/219 lbs, took a visit to Indiana this past weekend.

It looks like the Hoosiers are now the team to beat for Burnam.

Scout.com reported that Burnam had not been in regular contact with the staff at Tennessee as of late.

It doesn’t look like this is much of a loss for the Volunteers. It might even be a case of there really not being room for Burnam.

The Vols have landed several recruits lately that are highly touted.
