Winning The SEC East

Obviously at the top of the wish list is Tennessee returning to the SEC Championship game for the first time since 2007.

That was suppose to happen in 2016, but a rash of injuries and poor performances against South Carolina and Vanderbilt prevented it from happening.

It won’t be easy for Tennessee in 2017. And they won’t be the favorites next season.

The Vols have to go to Florida and Alabama. They also host LSU in 2017.

It wouldn’t be hyperbole to say that there will be more pressure on Tennessee to win the East in 2017 than there was in 2016.

Butch Jones is squarely on the hot seat after an underwhelming 2016. Fans, and big money boosters, will be looking for something special to happen in 2017 in order to keep faith in Butch.
