A Commitment From Cam Akers

Vol fans will know before 2017 whether or not five-star running back Cam Akers will end up at Tennessee.

But seeing him in orange in 2017 is still on the wish list.

Akers is set to commit on December 27.

Florida State is currently the favorite to land the Mississippi native, but you still can’t count out Butch Jones and the Volunteers.

Adding Akers would, by my standards, make Tennessee’s 2017 recruiting class “elite”.

Akers is a supreme talent. One that will likely have a Leonard Fournette type impact on whatever team is fortunate enough to sign him.

Whoever ends up landing Akers will have him on campus in January. He’s planning to be an early enrollee.
