Tennessee Vols: Ultimate 2017 Wish List
By Zach Ragan
A New Star Quarterback
I have no idea whether or not Tennessee will have an offensive coordinator opening in 2017.
But I do know one opening they will have — star quarterback.
Josh Dobbs, who will go down as one of the greats in Tennessee history, will be gone after the Music City Bowl.
Which means someone is going to have to step up and attempt to be a star.
Will it be Quentin Dormady, a rising junior who saw mop up duty his first two seasons sitting behind Dobbs?
Or will Sheriron Jones or Jarrett Guarantano step up in spring practice?
If the Vols manage to land Helfrich as their OC, seeing Jones or Guarantano take hold of the job wouldn’t be a surprise at all.
Unfortunately for Vol fans, there’s really no way to know who it will be.
None of these guys have really been tested. And none of them have had to be a leader on the field in college yet.
One thing is certain, however, and thats the fact that Vol fans don’t care who it is. They just want someone to step up and be the star quarterback that Tennessee needs in order to be successful.
