Butch Jones is now 3-0 in bowl games as the Tennessee Vols’ head coach.

The Tennessee Vols used a big first half to power by the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Music City Bowl.

In his final game as a Tennessee Volunteer, Josh Dobbs threw for 291 yards and rushed for 118 more en route to a 38-24 victory against Nebraska.

It was a fitting end to Dobbs’ career at UT. He made his mark with both his arm and his legs during his four seasons on Rocky Top.

Tennessee didn’t finish the season as they hoped, but they did finish with their second straight nine win season.

It’s the first time the Volunteers have finished with back to back nine win seasons since 2006-07 under then head coach Phillip Fulmer.

A big win against Nebraska in the Music City Bowl was exactly what the Vols needed to end to the 2016 season.
