Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright spoke to the media on Tuesday.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey says no decision has been made on whether or not wide receiver Kendall Wright will be back in Nashville next season.

But Wright, whose contract is up after this season, sees the writing on the wall.

The former Baylor wide receiver told the media on Monday, with tears in his eyes, that he enjoyed his time in Tennessee.

"“I enjoyed all my years here. We had ups and downs, and I played with a lot of quarterbacks, and for my final few years here, for us to have a quarterback and to run some of the things we were running, it was fun and I enjoyed it. … I’ll miss it.”"

Wright was a healthy scratch for a couple of the Titans’ game this season, including the season finale against the Texans. He caught only 29 passes for 416 yards this season. He also missed three games due to a hamstring injury.

It’s been a strange fall from grace for Wright. The Titans drafted him in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft.

Wright enjoyed a breakout sophomore season in 2013, catching 94 passes for 1,079 yards.

But unfortunately for Wright, and the Titans, his success didn’t continue. He regressed each of the following seasons.

Another team will almost certainly give Wright a deal in the off-season. But he will have an uphill battle in front of him to make a 53-man roster.
