PJ Fleck

Current head coach at Minnesota

There weren’t many names hotter in the college football coaching world this past off-season than PJ Fleck.

That’s because Fleck has led Western Michigan to three straight winning seasons, including a 13 win season in 2016.

Fleck, who is known for his charismatic personality, was hired out of relative obscurity by Western Michigan. He spent time as a wide receivers coach at Northern Illinois (his alma mater) and Rutgers, before spending one season in the NFL as Tampa Bay’s wide receivers coach.

Minnesota hired Fleck as their new head coach on January 6.

It’s unlikely that Fleck will bolt from Minnesota after one season, but if he finds success in 2016 he will be a very hot commodity.

And he can expect schools to come knocking on his door.
