Vols Recruiting: Brandon Hines Offered By Tennessee

The Tennessee Vols extended an offer to a local Tennessee quarterback on Thursday evening.
Brandon Hines tweeted on Thursday evening that he received an offer to play football from the Vols.

Hines is a 6’1″/200 lb quarterback from Thompson’s Station, TN (Independence High School), which is about 30 minutes south of Nashville.
It doesn’t appear that Hines has been rated by any of the major recruiting services.
According to Max Preps, Hines had quite the senior season. The Tennessee native passed for 3,574 yards and 40 touchdowns.
Hines would likely join the Vols as a preferred walk-on.
Tennessee already has 27 members of their 2017 recruiting class (including five early enrollees).
So far there is not a quarterback among those commits.
