2015 Class

Score: 9.82

Top players: Alvin Kamara, Jauan Jennings

Biggest surprise: Jauan Jennings, John Kelly, Chance Hall

Biggest disappointments: Andrew Butcher, Preston Williams

I’m not going to lie, I was a bit surprised to see the 2015 class at third. Especially given the talent and contributions that a lot of guys in the 2015 class have already made.

And there really hasn’t been much attrition in the 2015 class. Only five players have departed from this class.

Injuries, however, have hurt the 2015 class.

Shy Tuttle has the potential to be one of the best defensive tackles in the nation, but a pair of freak injuries have prevented him from reaching that status.

Kyle Phillips is another guy that’s had to deal with injuries. A shoulder injury cost him a majority of his freshman season.

The good news, however, is that most of these guys still have two years left to leave their mark at Tennessee.

But the bad news?

Alvin Kamara, perhaps the best player in this class, was criminally underused at Tennessee and we won’t get to see him play as a senior.

Watch for him on Sundays though — he’s going to be a star.
