The Vanderbilt Commodores’ 2017 recruiting class might hold a few hidden gems.

Every recruiting class has their headliners.

For the Vanderbilt Commodores in 2017, you could argue that wide receiver Chris Pierce is the headliner of the class.

Or maybe it’s pro-style quarterback Jacob Free.

Either way, it’s often times not the headliners of the class that make or break the team.

It’s the under-the-radar guys that step up when other players are injured. Guys that come out of nowhere to win a starting job out of spring practice.

Those are the guys that help teams win conference games and reach bowl eligibility.

Vanderbilt’s 2017 class isn’t a large class, but there are still several under-the-radar players that could make a big difference during their time in Nashville.

Here are the five guys in this recruiting cycle that we think don’t get enough love.
