Quarterback

Players signed:

  • Will McBride — Three-star
  • Seth Washington — Three-star

Grade: C

Ok, so the Vols didn’t really have a big need at quarterback. Honestly, they could’ve got by without even signing a quarterback.

But I do think Will McBridge is a quality signee. He’s a good fit for Butch Jones’ offense, and the extra depth never ever hurts.

Plus you really don’t know what you have until a player goes through their first spring practice. And even then it could still be too early.

McBride could end up being one of the best decisions Jones has made. Or he could be an afterthought. Only time will tell.

The Vols also added three-star dual-threat quarterback Seth Washington.

It’ll be tough for Washington to find an opportunity with a loaded roster, but he’s still a quality addition.
