Wide Receiver/Tight End

Players signed:

  • Jordan Murphy — Three-star
  • Josh Palmer — Three-star
  • Princeton Fant — Three-star
  • Jacquez Jones — Three-star
  • James Brown — Three-star

Grade: B-

The Vols added several quality wide receivers this recruiting cycle, but the quality wasn’t what we’ve come to expect in a Butch Jones class.

This is the first year at Tennessee that he didn’t sign at least a four-star wide receiver.

Obviously that could end up not being very important, given the fact that recruiting rankings are incredibly subjective, but it’s still a bit of a concern.

I feel the Vols could’ve done better in this area, but it’s not a cause for panic by any means.
