Offensive Line

Players signed:

  • Trey Smith — Five-star
  • Riley Locklear — Three-star
  • K’Rojhn Calbert — Three-star

Grade: A

If you remove Trey Smith, then Tennessee didn’t do anything impressive with their group of offensive linemen in 2017.

Don’t get me wrong, Locklear and Calbert are solid players. I happen to think Calbert is a little on the underrated side. But Smith is what really makes this group standout.

There’s nothing more important than depth at the offensive line position. The Vols definitely got some quality depth in 2017.

Smith will compete for playing time early in 2017. Hopefully for the Vols’ sake, they don’t have to see Locklear or Clabert take the field until at least 2018.
