Special Teams

Players signed:

  • Brent Simaglia — Three-star

Grade: B

Just signing a special teams player, in this case a kicker, gets the Vols a B.

Kicker Aaron Medley is entering his senior season. Which means Tennessee essentially signed their kicker of the future in Simaglia.

Jones loves himself some special teams, and there’s no way he’s leaving the kicking duties to a walk-on in 2018.

Hopefully the Vols will be able to redshirt Simaglia in 2017 and have their kicker for the next four years beginning in 2018.
