5. Tennessee 38 Georgia 31 (2015)

Tennessee fail behind 24-3 in the first half against Georgia, and fans immediately thought “well here we go again”.

But a fumbled kickoff return by Georgia running back Sony Michel near the end of the first half allowed the Vols to get back into the game.

Tennessee outscored the Bulldogs 14-0 in the third quarter to take the lead. A little bit of luck (Reggie Davis dropped a potential game tying 56 yards touchdown that was right in his hands late in the fourth quarter), and a great defensive play by Brian Randolph gave the Vols their first win against Georgia since 2009.

The Vols’ win against Georgia was their first over one of their big three rivals (Alabama, Florida, and Georgia) during the Butch Jones era.
