Dontari Poe

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I think the Titans should consider signing Dontari Poe this off-season.

The Chiefs decided to not place the franchise tag on Poe, meaning he will hit the open market.

Poe is looking at a fairly large payday, which is the reason the Chiefs are letting him hit free agency.

Poe obviously isn’t the most dominant defensive lineman in the league, but he’s a very solid player that is able to stay on the field regardless of the situation.

The Memphis native is a fairly decent pass rusher (he’s quite athletic), and he’s very good against the run.

Landing a player like Poe that can be a constant force on the defensive line for all three downs would be tremendous for the Titans.

Tennessee will just have to decide if the rather large salary Poe is likely to command will be worth the investment.
