Sylvester Williams

The Denver Broncos almost certainly won’t bring nose tackle Sylvester Williams back in 2017.

If the Titans are looking for a cheaper option than Poe or Campbell, they should consider Williams.

The former first round draft pick has started 44 games over the last three seasons, but his performance in 2016 left plenty to be desired.

Williams had only 29 tackles and one sack last season — not exactly eye popping numbers.

Part of the problem could’ve been that Williams saw the writing on the wall when the Broncos declined to pick up his fifth year option.

ESPN recently suggested that Williams could benefit from a change of scenery.

Williams is a former first team All-ACC player, so he knows how to perform at a high level.

At 28 years old, Williams could still be on the verge of a breakout season.

Sometimes you have to take a gamble in free agency. Williams could be a player that comes up huge for a team next season.
