Domata Peko

Domata Peko, who has spent his entire career with the Cincinnati Bengals, had the worst year of his career last season.

For that reason, the Bengals could decide to move on from Peko and go with youth at the defensive tackle position (such as Andrew Billings).

If the Titans decided to sign Peko, it would be because they’re comfortable with where their defensive line is currently. Adding Peko would basically be adding a solid rotational player.

And that’s absolutely fine. It would allow the Titans to focus on other needs, while not completely ignoring their defensive line.

That’s part of why the Titans are in such a great position this off-season. There are several paths GM Jon Robinson could decide to take, and they all have their pros and cons.

Peko, by the way, would not just be a benefit to the Titans on the field. His biggest benefit would probably be as a leader and positive influence in the locker room.

If the Titans are serious about making noise in the AFC next season, they could use a proven leader like Domata Peko.
