Marcus Cooper

Marcus Cooper is another player that could be the recipient of a big payday, due to the lack of quality options at the cornerback position.

Cooper was a Pro-Bowl alternate in 2016, after he totaled four interceptions and 69 tackles in 15 games (13 of which he started).

Of all the options on this list, Cooper is probably the one I like the least.

More from Tenn Truth

Cooper did most of his damage against subpar quarterbacks, which inflated his stats.

That’s not to say Cooper isn’t good, because he is, but the other options on this list are more attractive.

Cooper is a player that will give up a big play, but then make up for it later in the game. That can be frustrating for a fan.

The Titans, however, would still be a better team next season if they added Cooper.

Tennessee’s secondary was a mess last season. Obviously it would be great to see the Titans add a player like Bouye or Gilmore, but the reality is that adding any of the players on this list will instantly improve a struggling secondary unit.
