Forget Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, the world really wants to know if former Tennessee Vols running back Arian Foster can beat a wolf in a fight.

If you need proof that we’re severely lacking entertainment on Sundays without the NFL, look no further than sports Twitter’s recent obsession with whether or not former Tennessee Vols running back Arian Foster could beat a wolf in a fight.

Foster is apparently convinced he could take a wolf in a street fight (not sure which street we’re talking about, but whatever).

The debate was so widespread that it actually became a trending topic.

My first instinct, besides saying “there’s no way Foster could take a wolf in a fight”, was to search for documented one-on-one human vs wolf fights.

Unfortunately all I found was more people, like myself, wondering the same thing.

(There’s a pretty good Reddit thread on the topic from six years ago that I would recommend.)

I did, however, find a WikiHow page on “how to survive a wolf attack“.

That line of thinking leads me to believe that the proper question is whether or not you could survive a fight against a wolf, not if you could actually win a fight against a wolf.

Either way, Foster doesn’t really seem like the fighting type, you know with the namaste and all. So he’s probably overestimating himself.

I’m sure, however, there are plenty of Tennessee fans that will testify that a wolf could definitely strip a football from Foster.

Hell, Phillip Fulmer would probably even agree with that.
