Victor Cruz

Unless the Titans can sign Victor Cruz for next to nothing, they should probably just pass on the former Giant.

Cruz returned to the Giants last season after a devastating knee injury that forced him to miss nearly two years.

The injury that Cruz suffered, a torn patellar tendon, is one that often ends careers.

So it’s really remarkable that Cruz was able to even return to playing professional football.

But he was clearly a shell of his former self last season.

And let’s be honest, Cruz has had one really good season — his first in 2011. Every year since then he has regressed a bit.

At this point in his career, especially with the injuries, Cruz is nothing more than a number four wide receiver. If it wasn’t for his breakout 2011 season, no one would even consider Cruz a potential “big” free agent target. He’d just be a guy that a team signs for depth.

There are plenty of other healthier options for the Titans to consider.
