Valentino Blake — Defensive Back

Valentino Blake is, at times, a solid special teams contributor.

But that’s about it.

Blake routinely made boneheaded plays last season.

Given the Titans’ desperate needs in their secondary, I can’t imagine a scenario where they feel inclined to commit money to Blake.

Finding solid special teams players isn’t a difficult task. The Titans can probably find someone to fill the void Blake will leave via the 2017 NFL Draft.

Bringing a player back just to play special teams doesn’t seem like a wise investment, which is why it would be smart for the Titans to move on from Blake.
