Marc Mariani — Returner

Speaking of bringing a player back just for special teams purposes, it brings us to Marc Mariani.

Mariani was solid for the Titans in the return game last season, but he offers nothing on the offensive side of the ball.

The Titans could find a player via free agency, or the draft, that would be a more electric kick returner, and possibly make a contribution on the offensive side of the ball.

A player like Cordarrelle Patterson could be a good fit for the Titans.

Tennessee could get creative with Patterson on offense, and we already know he’s a huge asset in the return game.

Bringing back Mariani, who looked slow at times in 2016, solely as a kick returner in 2017 doesn’t seem very smart for a team that has plenty of cash to spend.
