Anthony Fasano — Tight End

This is a tough one.

Anthony Fasano is a great blocking tight end. He’s a great teammate and locker room guy.

But he turns 33 in April and it doesn’t make a lot of sense to bring him back on a long term deal, which he will likely look for in free agency. Especially after the Titans extended Delanie Walker prior to the 2016 season.

The Titans have a capable blocking tight end in Phillip Supernaw on the roster. And it’s likely that Tennessee will look to draft a tight end in the upcoming draft (several mock drafts have the Titans selecting Alabama’s OJ Howard).

While the Titans have plenty of money to spend this off-season, they still have to be smart and makes sure all their needs are filled.

Letting Fasano walk in free agency will allow Supernaw, a cheaper option to step up, while other more pressing needs are met.
