Chip Kelly

Very rarely are there coaches that are hired that are “can’t fail” guys.

In recent years, I can only think of a few — Nick Saban, Jim Harbaugh, and Urban Meyer.

Everyone knew those coaches, when they were hired at Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio State, were going to be successful.

Chip Kelly is one of those guys.

Kelly lost 7 games in four seasons as the Oregon Ducks’ head coach. He went to a national championship game, two Rose Bowls, and the Fiesta Bowl.

You don’t need me to tell you that’s an impressive record as a head coach.

There’s little doubt that Kelly, if he came to Tennessee, would instantly elevate the Vols to one of the elite programs in the nation. He’s that good of a coach.
