The Tennessee Vols are looking to add commits to their 2018 recruiting class.

2018 wide receiver/defensive back Kendrick Torain Jr tweeted on Friday that he received an offer from the Tennessee Vols.

Torain is a 6’2″/195 lb three-star recruit from Tampa, FL (Jesuit). He hasn’t been nationally rated by any of the major recruiting services.

In addition to Torain’s offer from Tennessee, he also holds notable offers from Duke, Georgia, Iowa State, North Carolina, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and Washington State, among several others.

The Vols currently have only two commits to their 2018 recruiting class, which is a bit surprising.

Tennessee, as you can probably guess, has a lot of ground to make up in this recruiting cycle.

Landing a versatile player like Torain, who is obviously being noticed by some top programs, would be big for the Vols’ 2018 class.

It appears that Torain will likely play at cornerback in college, where his length, and ball skills, will give his a considerable advantage.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Torain’s offer list grow quite a bit this summer.

Hopefully for Tennessee, they can get this kid on campus early and leave a big impression on the Florida native.
