Thomas Rhett’s Dad Reveals Sex Of Rhett’s Soon-To-Be Adopted Baby

Is there anyone worse at keeping a secret than soon-to-be grandparents? Thomas Rhett would probably tell you there’s not.
Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren recently shocked the country music world by revealing that not only is Lauren pregnant with the couple’s daughter, but they’re also in the process of adopting.
The young couple had been hush-hush about the sex of their adopted child, but Rhett’s father, Rhett Akins, recently revealed the sex of the child to Taste Of Country.
The elder Akins told Taste Of Country that Thomas Rhett and Lauren show him a picture of the child their adopting. In the photo, the child was wearing a shirt that said “Big Sister”.
It obviously took a moment for the news to set in for Akins, who mentioned that adding two girls for the family will be a bit different for a family accustomed to having mostly boys.
It’s unclear whether or not Thomas Rhett and his wife gave his dad the go-ahead to reveal the sex of their adopted child, but I’m sure it won’t be much of an issue either way. They seem like a close-knit group.

And anyway, I’m sure the “Die A Happy Man” songwriter will have more than enough to worry about with three girls in the house.
