Jamal Adams — Safety — LSU

There’s a good chance Jamal Adams is selected before the Titans’ first selection in the first round (fifth overall), but there are actually some recent mock drafts from NFL.com that has Adams falling to the San Diego Chargers at number seven.

I don’t think, however, there’s any chance Adams falls that far.

In fact, I’d be surprised if he falls to the Titans. Quite a few projections have the Bears selecting Adams with the third overall pick.

Of course you never know how the draft will actually play out.

Either way, Adams is the player I like the most for the Titans.

Here’s what NFL.com has to say about Adams:

"Interchangeable safety with a sheriff’s mentality. Adams is a physical tone-setter who should thrive near the line of scrimmage or in a robber role. Should be a commanding presence in the locker room early on and his do-as-I-do play demeanor could be the catalyst for turning a struggling defense around quickly"

Adams is a future stalwart in a NFL team’s secondary. As far as safe picks go, it doesn’t get much after than Adams.

Titans general manager Jon Robinson is all about production, and Adams certainly fits the bill.
