Tennessee Titans: 5 Players The Titans Should Consider In First Round Of NFL Draft
By Zach Ragan
David Njoku — Tight End — Miami
I like OJ Howard’s NFL potential a little more than Njoku, but he will be gone by the time the 18th overall pick rolls around.
Plus I think Njoku has a higher floor than Howard.
Miami has a history of producing NFL caliber tight ends (Shockey, Graham, Olsen, Winslow), and Njoku should add his name to that list.
Njoku is extremely athletic, he can catch well, he can block, he can pretty much do it all.
From NFL.com:
"Ascending pass catching talent with elite athleticism and enough fight in his run blocking to believe that he can be lined up anywhere on the field at any time. Njoku should annihilate the combine with monster numbers in speed and explosion, but his play on the field shows he’s more than a combine warrior. He is still growing into his body and has to add to his play strength, but his playmaking potential and elite traits should make him a first-round pick and a future Pro Bowler."
Delanie Walker isn’t getting any younger, and tight ends sometimes take a year or two to develop into reliable starting options.

Which is why it would be wise for the Titans to consider taking a potentially elite tight end with their second pick in the first round.
