OJ Howard — Tight End — Alabama

OJ Howard is another player that’s been mocked to the Titans quite a few times — with both of their first round picks.

I’m only against the Titans taking Howard with the fifth overall pick. I think he has a ton of upside, but you want more of a sure thing with a pick that high. And I think Titans general manager Jon Robinson will use that same philosophy.

However, if Howard is around when the Titans make the 18th pick (which I seriously doubt happens), then I can absolutely see Robinson drafting Howard.

If the Titans do end up drafting Howard, he would obviously be groomed to fill the Delanie Walker role on the roster. He’s probably never going to be an elite blocker, which means Phillip Supernaw would still be an important player for the Titans.
