1. Jake Locker — Quarterback

Round 1 Pick 8 (2011)

It should come as no surprise that Jake Locker is the Titans’ ultimate bust.

Locker started only 23 games for the Titans during his four seasons in the NFL. He retired from football after 2014.

In four seasons in the NFL (all with the Titans), Locker threw for 4,967 yards, 27 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. He completed just 57% of his passes.

It’s tough to find a good quarterback. So it’s understandable that so many teams strike out when trying to land one.

Jake Locker proved to everyone that most draft analysts are completely guessing when it comes to grading prospects.

Locker was once described by Chris Mortensen as a bigger version of Steve Young. Mel Kiper said at one point that Locker should be the first overall draft pick in 2011.

As you can see, they were fantastically wrong about Locker.

And so were the Titans.

Players the Titans could’ve selected instead of Locker:

  • JJ Watt
  • Mike Pouncey
  • Cameron Jordan
  • Muhammad Wilkerson
  • Kyle Rudolph
  • Randall Cobb
  • Justin Houston
  • Richard Sherman
